An absolutely fantastic site

Stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of May. A really warm welcome from Deborah and Martin, nothing was too much trouble. The 5 pitches on this site are really spacious and include a 2 seater picnic table for exclusive use. The facilities are second to none, spotlessly clean, spacious with the best shower ever! The attention to detail on this site is superb, with lots of little touches. There is a huge, fully enclosed dog field adjacent to a Paddock housing 2 very friendly donkeys and a ewe and 2 lambs. There is also a small lake with ducks. Alongside the lake is a communal fire pit for gatherings. There is a small shop on site for those essential bits and pieces. The site is within 200 yards of direct access to Cannock Chase for fantastic walks, with the added bonus of a T Room along the route. We will be back. Pete & Jackie Henley

Just Perfect

Spring Paddock CL
Martin and Deborah could not be more friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The shower block and pitches are immaculate. The reception is so cosy and well planned with a lovely comfy sofa to sit on and lots of interesting features to look at. It even has a lovely shop area with very useful products to buy. The dog field has paths cut through, with lots of lovely long grass left for doggies to explore. HAVE to mention the small breed sheep in the next field. They are so friendly. I love sheep, such gentle creatures ❤ Oh and the wildlife pond is our favourite bit. We literally sat for hours there in the sun, watching the dragonflies, ducks and birds swooping down for bugs. Just perfect. Back in August. Can't wait.

They’ve thought of everything ...the nicest CL we have ever seen
Martin and Deborah deserve every success with this immaculate CL. The site is beautifully laid out, each pitch has its own picnic table and chairs, dog walk field, nature area with pond and ducks. Loos and showers are modern and pristine. Martin and Deborah are friendly and helpful. The shop has local ice cream and other provisions. We went to the area to visit family and friends but were impressed with the local areas of beauty, loads of lovely countryside and forest walks. We also visited shugborough and wolseley centre which were both lovely and well worth the visit. We were debating not to write this....because we will probably never get a pitch again as they will no doubt be fully booked forever and fully deserve that success. Well done and thank you Deborah and Martin.....we do indeed hope to be back!
Fantastic CL
Just returned from Spring Paddock CL and credit to Martin and Deborah for an outstanding site.On arrival we were greeted and explained where everything was. The site is in immaculate grounds and the facilities are kept spotless everyday by Deborah. Both Martin and Deborah are a font of knowledge if you need to know anything about the area and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay while staying. For food, there is the ' Chetwynd Arms' Pub a short distance along the road which serve some tasty meals, and which Martin kindly booked a table for Sunday Lunch for us, however we can also recommend the Fish & Chips from 'Johns' in Weeping Cross, all cooked fresh to order. Across the road is 'Cannock Chase' with some nice routes for you to walk it all off. Finally. Thank you, Martin & Deborah for a Great, Friendly and Relaxing stay which should be the CL winner of the Year...... we'll be back again. Dave & Debbie x
Amazing Short break

Toilets and showers were immaculate. Very handy site for Cannock and Stafford towns also Cannock chase, We will definitely be back here in the very near future as 15 years with the caravan club this is the best CL we have ever stopped on credit to Martin and Deborah for their hard work.... See you again very soon

Fabulous CL
We spent 4 nights at Spring Paddock in September, and chose it because of so many positive reviews. From the minute we arrived we knew that was a good decision. As we pulled into the drive, my husband said, 'This is like a mini club site', and over the 5 days there was nothing else we could think of that could have been provided. Deborah greeted us with a cheery smile and a sanitised key fob, and gave us a quick tour of the facilities. The site was level and clearly marked out. After pitching, we were asked to bring the car to an adjacent parking area, a policy which clearly helps keep the grass in brilliant condition. Deborah was forever cleaning and tidying and weeding round the site, so the site generally and the toilet block were spotless: but all her work was unobtrusive and the 'rules' didn't feel like over-regulation. This was our first trip away this year because of the Covid restrictions, and although we had charged the battery, it failed and our fridge didn't work. Martin kindly loaned us a leisure battery for two days until we could buy a replacement, and found us some (covid secure) space in the office fridge. We were a bit worried because some reviews had mentioned road noise, and some made it sound as though they were within feet of the M6. There was a tiny bit of traffic noise as people travelled to and from work morning and evening but it was hardly noticeable and didn't disturb us at all. It was an easy drive or walk to Cannock Chase from the site and we saw plenty of deer and birds, including a kestrel which circled within feet of us. We left for home with a jar of delicious onion relish from the site shop and a promise to return in the near future. Liz Harris

Immaculate and highley recommended lovely site run by great, helpfull and friendly couple
If you are looking for a CL site in the Midlands, we can highly recommend Spring Paddock CL site near Stafford. Just off the A34 between Stafford and Cannock, so good access to the major supermarkets etc within a short drive and also very close to the wonderful Cannock Chase, a large area of natural woodland and open heathland with miles of walking and cycle routes. We were very impressed with this beautifullly well maintained site, it was absolutely immaculate, with hardstanding, gravelled pitches and plenty of lovely space, the grounds include a very large enclosed exercise field for dogs, even provided with a covered dog toy cupboard of balls etc. There is a separate enclosed nature area with duck pond, fire pit, seating and picnic table. The toilet/shower facilities were kept spotless and a lovely touch in the loo of scented reed diffuser and artwork of cheeky seaside postcard that is regularly changed for a little bit of humour! The waste and water provision is also excellent with the benefit of a nice long hose for filling. There is a substantial, gravelled parking area for those with caravans to leave their cars or for visitors to park. Deborah and Martin were great hosts, so helpful, friendly and welcoming they made our stay so less stressful after arriving with an electrical issue with our motorhome, Martin contacted a local auto electrician where we took it for a repair. They have free range hens so there are fresh eggs available and in the office there was a selection of food provisions including a wonderful selection of jams and chutneys and local information available. Martin and Deborah only started this site in 2019 and have worked hard to create an immaculate and really welcoming site. We were in the area having travelled down from Scotland to visit relatives, had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back there again next year. Mr & Mrs Gordon

Exceptional  CL
We are just back from a 2 night stay wished it was longer. The reception we got from Martin and Deborah was so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The site is so lovely we loved waking up next to the paddock with sheep, lambs and ducks the toilet/shower rooms are modern spotless and definitely 5*. The site is great for walks long or short, cycling or using public transport to get about with a bus stop so close. We will be back. Thank you Martin and Deborah for our lovely stay. Amazing Site
Organising the booking and paying the fee was simple and straightforward. On arrival we were provided with an information pack and six free eggs. There's a small shop in the site office with the basics and a lovely range of Mrs Darlington jams etc. The ground is very firm. The pitches are level and posh gravel. They are well spaced out. The toilet block is immaculate. One toilet and shower each for the males and one for females. Radio playing. Even display comical postcards for a smile a day. The facilities are amazing. The only downside for us was being on the A34 so traffic noise is more or less constant. This didn't bother us at all just thought I would mention it in case you're light sleepers. In short an amazing site run by a lovely couple. Caravanner from Staffordshire Reviewed on 26/10/2020
